Over the past 5 months or so I've been going often (partying too much last year lead to groups craving midnight snacks, and now my mother moved to Clinton so we go for the dinner rush), and have had a terrible experience one night at 3 am, and then after that things slowly started getting better.
There is a waiter at night, Pete, who that restaurant is very lucky to have. His service is great and he just comes off as a really great guy.
Pete, the fact that is has a bar (though you are limited to 3 drinks), and the fact that it's even open so late at night are what make it above the average diner. The fare is average, definitely what you might expect from any diner in Northern New Jersey. But the great waitstaff, availability of alcohol, and open 24/7-ness are what bring it above.December 07, 2016
